Re-elect Jen Crownover for
County Commissioner, Precinct 4

Jen Crownover for
County Commissioner
Precinct 4

Can you believe it’s that time again? Our election is right around the corner and I look forward to the opportunity to continue to serve and represent the residents of Comal County, especially Precinct 4.

The last four years have truly been a pleasure serving you, from the first election, to being sworn in, to rolling up my sleeves and going to work for you. Being your County Commissioner and serving your needs isn’t a job for me, it’s a passion that I am thankful for everyday.

I truly believe that communication and education are fundamental to the success of any entity. If you have questions, concerns about our community, or would like to visit with me, please don’t hesitate to call or email. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for your time, consideration and support!

My name is Jen Crownover. I grew up on a farm in South Texas where we raised corn, maize, wheat and cotton. I attended Texas Lutheran University, and have a B.A. in Business Communications & Marketing. I met my husband while working on the Guadalupe River and after he completed his education, we settled here to raise our boys.

In addition to running my own local small business, hard work and serving the community has always been a part of my family’s daily life. All of us are very involved, from sports to Scouting to FFA and other service organizations that help our community. We also attend Oakwood Baptist Church.

Being your commissioner is an honor. I love my job, and being able to serve our community. I would love to serve another four years on your behalf, and continue to give our community a strong voice and leadership.

Serving our community has always been a priority for me and my family. Over the years, my family and I have relished the opportunity to serve with many volunteer organizations including Canyon Lake Youth Football, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Comal County Parks Development Committee, the Joint Sports Fundraising Coalition, CRRC Community Pavilion Committee, the Groundwater Conservation District Stakeholders Group, and other community initiatives. It was through these endeavors that I had the opportunity to meet with many of our public leaders and learn the inner-workings of our county government. As my interest grew, so did my passion and I found myself becoming more involved with the many organizations that serve our community and our county, including Citizen Fire Academy, Citizen Sheriff Academy, and the local Republican Women groups, including Canyon Lake, New Braunfels and Bulverde Area.

As your commissioner, I have continued to serve as a volunteer in the community, on top of my job as your representative on Commissioners Court. It continues to be an honor, and I’d love to continue.

The issues that affect all of you are also important to me. As your elected official, I will make it my top priority to serve this county with emphasis on fiscal conservation, sustainable growth, emergency services, law enforcement, families and communities, accessibility to residents, transparency with county operations, land and water responsibilities.

The issues that affect all of you are also important to me. As your commissioner, I will continue to serve our county with emphasis on:

  • Being fiscally conservative

  • Good stewardship of our resources

  • Conservative, sustainable growth

  • Support emergency services & law enforcement

  • Support families, communities & volunteers

  • Open, active communication

  • Excellent accessibility to residents

  • Improved transparency with County operations

  • Financial, land & water responsibilities

As your County Commissioner, I am your point person to work with on County-related issues and concerns. Picture me as your designated information gatherer, meeting goer, decision maker (by my vote), and problem solver (no, I am not a genie, but I’ll do my best!) for issues that affect our precinct and our county.

As a member of the Commissioners’ Court Team, I represent our precinct on matters that affect our County. As a unit, Commissioners Court is tasked with entering into contracts on behalf of the County, setting the budget and tax rate to ensure that all county departments are funded and operate appropriately, and making decisions that come before the Court during our weekly public meetings.

Real Support. Real People.

As a local first responder, we need elected officials with integrity such as Jen. Leadership that understands the foundational and growing needs of our community is paramount!

– Mike & Kirstin Hayes

When weighing candidates’ qualifications, track record, over-all personal competencies and dedication to the common good, as well as candidates’ ability to make rational, unbiased decisions that are in the best interests of County constituents, Jen is tops.

– Dr. Larry Sunn

Jen is a proven and effective community builder and a true leader in our community. She has inspired others to step up and serve, and has also been able to break down barriers in our community to improve the overall community approach and benefit. Her impact has been positive, principled and selfless, and she has certainly been able to bring out the best in people across the board.  She lives out here, her kids and family are all active and productive members of our community and schools, and she truly understands and appreciates the needs of our community across the board. I can’t wait to see how much more of a positive, well-rounded impact she can have on our community when she is our Commissioner.

– Tiffany Verette

Several years ago, a Needs Assessment was prepared for Comal County. One of the top needs noted in the County was a number of issues regarding our youth. Our youth are growing up into our young adult class here in Canyon Lake. What kind of young adults and young families would you like to see? Jen Crownover for Comal County Commissioner, Pct4, has not only been preparing for this office for several years, but I do believe that she is the best choice for the job. Her experiences and community involvement puts her in the lives of so many of our youth. Jen and her husband, along with the kids are such role models to many of them. I have had the honor of serving on a committee with Jen and I must say, her work on the committee was astonishing.

– Darin Zumwalt

I am very excited and enthusiastic in my endorsement of Jen Crownover for Comal County Commissioner, Pct. 4. I have had the privilege to have worked with Jen Crownover in both personal and professional capacities over the past 4 years. Her steadfast involvement in community activities in and around the county that I have witnessed, have always been of the highest values and standards. Having worked with and around her as a volunteer in various youth organizations in Comal (Cub Scouts, Youth Football and Baseball), I can attest to the fact that she is a tireless and selfless volunteer and a natural leader. Best of all, she seems to have a unique ability to bring out and foster the best in others that she works with. My vote is will be to re-elect Jen Crownover to Precinct 4.

– Sheldon Smith

I have had the opportunity over the past several years to work with Jen Crownover in a number of endeavors for “non-profit” organizations we’ve both been fortunate to be a part of.  Throughout that time, we’ve served on a couple of committees devoting their time to continued improvement of the county parks system, primarily Hidden Valley Sports Park and a new community pavilion with CRRC.  Her involvement with the parks programs extends beyond that to include other programs with a clear and dedicated focus on youth programs and community building.  As a result of having worked with her, I’m confident she will bring that same energy, enthusiasm  and work ethic to Commissioners Court and every other aspect of the job.

– Jay Brewer
